Don’t pinch these ladies on wheels this Saturday, or you’re liable to wind up on the ground. The Charlotte Roller Girls take to the street once again in the 17th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This event is a lot of fun for the skaters, refs, volunteers, and even announcers as they show off their best tricks.
Last year, more than 80,000 spectators joined the party and watched the Charlotte Roller Girls skate through the heart of the Queen City with the parade procession as pipes sounded in the background.
This year’s parade will step off at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 16 at Tryon and 9th street in uptown Charlotte. In order to accommodate the growing audience for the parade, the parade route has expanded this year. The parade will still start at Tryon & 9th St. It then march south to 3rd Street where it takes a left and marches down 3rd St. to Caldwell.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a non-profit event, open to the public. We hope to see you there in your finest green threads!
